The illustration of the Moomin family’s happy reunion in front of the Moominhouse is based on Tove Jansson’s comic Moomin and Family Life from 1955. In this story, Moominmamma and Moominpappa rescue Moomintroll from the waves of the sea. Soon, they realize Moomintroll is their long-lost son, and the family can return home together.
