The Hemulen belongs to a species of hemulen, a group of tall, long-snouted creatures. The Hemulen we see in the Hemulen Yellow plate from the Moomin Classics collection is a naturalist collecting plants and planning to put together the finest herbarium in the world. To him, there’s no such plant that wouldn’t awaken a collector’s sense in him. While travelling to Hattifattener’s island, he once again found astonishingly rare collectables.
Illustrations are based on Tove Jansson's novel "Finn Family Moomintroll" from 1948. Bottom stamp by Arabia & Moomin with a paintbrush & character name in English. Material: Vitro-porcelain. Microwave, oven & dishwasher safe. Diameter: 7.5 inches.
