The enchanting and mystical Ancestor of the Moomins is a small and hairy creature who lives behind a tile stove in the Moominhouse parlour. He only moves in the nighttime and never speaks. When in the story "Moominland Midwinter", Moomintroll wakes up in the middle of hibernation, and no one else but the secretive Ancestor is awake in the Moominhouse. One night the Ancestor redecorates the entire Moominhouse by moving things to new spots and turning paintings upside down.
Illustrations are based on Tove Jansson's Moomin stories "Moominland Midwinter" from 1957. Bottom stamp: by Arabia & Moomin with a paintbrush & character name in English. Illustration design by Tove Slotte. Material: Vitro-porcelain. Microwave, oven & dishwasher safe. Size: 6 inches.
